My mother loves to read. Growing up, I remember her constantly having at least one book (if not more) that she was reading bookmarked and left somewhere around the house. Our basement had a bookshelf full of the many books she read, and heading the library or the bookstore was a regular outing for our family.
This love of reading rubbed of on me, without a hitch. In fact, by the time I attended school I was well into my bookworm tendencies. I couldn’t believe that some of the kids at school actually couldn’t stand to read! Personally, I’d rather read than watch a movie!
Now that I’m a mother myself, I have high hopes that my love of reading will rub off onto my own daughters. I believe the key is getting them started young. I’ve rounded up a summer reading list for Christian women that fit girls and women of all ages and stages in life!

If you have a child under the age of 12, be sure to get them enrolled in a summer reading program, where they have the potential to earn incentives for their summer reading!
