If you’ve been following along on the blog this summer you know that summer is one of our favorite times of the year. I love the freedom and relaxation that comes with it. It seems like in the summer time everything just slows down a bit.. lots of times you don’t have a choice but to slow down when it’s 90+ degrees outside. That’s what the weather has been like here in the U.S. at least. It’s been a scorcher.
Oddly enough, as the pace seems to slow down this time of year, the amount of activities our family has seemingly increases. Not only do the kids have camps and practices to go to, we are trying to fit in family vacations and trips as well. We’re trying to fit in a lifetime of memories into a little less than three months, so we’ve got to make it count! On top of that, work and responsibilities don’t end just because the kids are out of school and want to be entertained.
Thank God for compromise!
Recipes like this delicious tropical fruit smoothie recipe help to add a little balance to the mix. My kids love smoothies, and get excited when it’s time to make them! Add the right ingredients to a smoothie and you can sneak the healthy ingredients right in without the children being wise to it at all!
