Road tripping has become my family’s “thing” lately. When we became a family of 5 last year, my Husband and I imagined that vacations would be out of the picture for many years to come. Our girls are all aged 7 and under, making it somewhat difficult to plan activities that keep them engaged. Not to mention that air travel fees are far from being cheap, and the thought of traveling on a plane with several car seats along with our diaper bags and random other child raising supplies seems less than appealing.
We soon found out, however, that our traveling days were far from being over. In fact, it seems they are just beginning! Road trips turned out to be the perfect solution for our family, allowing us to travel to new destinations.
We don’t have any bag limits and don’t have to worry about getting everyone through security. We can travel with an entire case of diapers, or just stop at a local supermarket and grab what we need along the way. Most importantly, we have the freedom to make memories, and make each and every moment count!
That’s the most important part of road trips… the memories. It’s about more than being able to look back and see the things you did. You need to be able to look back and “feel” the trip. You should feel like you’re right back in that moment.
That’s why I love creating post trip slideshows after our vacations end, to help us remember the moments we shared. For our last trip, I used Coca-Cola’s cans from the new Share a Coke and a Song Coca-Cola campaign throughout our vacation to help me preserve our memories.“Share a Coke and a Song” is all about every lyric being a reason to share, whether it reminds you of a memory with a friend, becomes your theme song or celebrates a moment with your family. These are the perfect addition to our family slideshow!
Not sure how to create a slideshow?
No problem! They can be as simple or as complicated as you like! You can simply create a Powerpoint slide, or go a step farther to create a video with the software on your computer or favorite social media site! Whichever way you decide, later down the road when you’re reminiscing about your trip… you’ll be thankful for the opportunity to feel like you’re right back there in that moment!
Head over to Sam’s Club and grab some Coca-Cola to make memories with on your next family road trip.
