If there’s anything worse than sunburns and mosquitos in the summer, it’s a bored child! I usually pack up and get my children out of the house in the summer months as much as possible. Some days, however, it just isn’t an option. On those heat advisory days, and stormy days, it can be a struggle to find something to entertain the children that doesn’t involved them being camped out in front of the television or tablet eating me out of house and home due to sheer boredom.
This situation hit us last week. It was raining horribly, accompanied by thunder and lighting. Luckily, I didn’t have a thing to worry about. That’s because we had been invited to an event for local bloggers at Sealife Aquarium and Legoland KC! The perfect solution for a dreary day!
My kids love Legoland and Sealife (even the baby’s eyes are wide and mesmerized every time we walk through). Check out our previous trips here: Legoland and Sealife. One of the things I love best about Sealife and Legoland is the frequency in which they update displays and attractions. Each and every time we visit, there’s something new! This time, we were wowed by the new StarWars exhibit in Legoland. My 5 year old really got a kick out of that!
What happens, however, when that rainy day hits you at a bad time financially? Plan ahead! Both Legoland and Sealife Aquarium offer the option of a season pass! That means you’ll enjoy UNLIMITED access for 12 months, in addition to various other discounts and perks!
