Disclosure: I received tickets, in exchange for my honest review.
I’d been to the circus before… no big deal. I could pretty much predict everything that happens, and was mostly going for the benefit of my daughter. At 1, this was her first time ever being to an event like this. All I was worried about was getting under that air conditioned black top. It was HOT outside, and there were lots of people eager to get in!
Once we got in, we waited for the show to begin. The lights dimmed, and I waited for the announcer to come out and begin the whole standard circus script.
….that never happened.
Instead, the next thing I heard was music. It got louder and louder gradually, as if it was taken the crowd over slowly in a trance. And then, it was as if the spell was cast over all of us simultaneously. Everyone began dancing and moving in rhythm, and people came out and began getting the crowd hype. Giant beach balls were being passed around, and we were having a BLAST!
That’s when I knew I wasn’t at just any circus.
I was under the air-conditioned big top.

Fast forward 4 years later, and I’m gearing up to take my second child to her very first Universoul Circus experience, and I can’t wait! My family is hooked!
Last year was the only year we missed it. With baby 2 arriving last summer, we needed to be frugal.
If money for the circus is a concern for you and your family, and you’re in the Kansas City are, you’re in luck. I am offering a special discount to join me and my family on opening night!

Another thing I love about the Universoul Circus, is how they support the community. In every city they visit, the Circus does some sort of community outreach. If you’re in the KC area, you know violence is a community issue, especially in the inner city. Join the Universoul Circus and my family at 39th & Prospect today for the “Your Life Matters” event and circus preview!
