I was always stuffy with horrible sinuses when I was a kid. It was pretty miserable, and made me snore loud enough to wake up the whole entire house. Pretty awkward, when spending the night with friends, as you can imagine. I spent a lot of time using tissues and sniffling around before I finally had my tonsils and adenoids removed (problem solved). Kleenex was always my brand of choice. Any other choice would have my nose red like Rudolph, as if all the other side of effects weren’t enough….
We folded the tissue a few times long ways, then pinched the ends to make them a bit fluffy. Then we colored the ends with markers. After that, we just folded the tissue into little flowers, taping the base around the bobby pin to hold!
We wanted to make an entire bouquet, so we used some artificial flowers we had around the house, and removed the petals (they were actually detachable, so the flowers aren’t ruined should I decide to repurpose them later).
Wah-la! Easy flower arrangement!
We don’t just use Kleenex for crafts, of course. They’re a staple of our home. We keep ours in the bathroom, right beside the sink. I have high hopes that this will remind 5 year olds to wash their hands after blowing their noses (no success yet, as of publishing date).
Where do you store your Kleenex?
