Babies change everything. Really, they do. Especially when it comes to skin. When I was pregnant with Cyanne, over 5 years ago, I quickly learned that the changes to my body didn’t stop with weight in figure. My once perfectly clear, sensitive skin began to break out in reaction to the smallest things. Fast-forward 4 years later when I was pregnant with baby number two, and it’s even worse than the first time.
With Caelyn, it seems as if it’s gotten worse times 10! During my pregnancy with her it seemed as if any and everything was breaking me out. Any make-up I tried. Hair products. Perfumes. Detergents…. everything. The worse part is that while washing off any of the offenders used to bring me comfort, this time the face wash itself was causing issues. I began to develop rashes in the little creases of beside my nose. These were the kind you couldn’t cover up with make-up, because they somehow always seemed to come through.
Then…. I discovered Mia Mariu.
I tested Mia Mariu’s make-up not too long ago, and fell in love with their natural products. When the reached out with the opportunity to review their facial cleanser as well, I couldn’t resist. This isn’t just any facial cleanser… their new and improved formula is anti-inflammatory and includes 8 botanicals; Aloe, marigold, sea kelp, sea lettuce, orange peel, lemon, lime, and grape fruit.
After only a week of using my irritated spots are almost gone. You can still see a very slight reddish tint, but it’s not what I would consider a rash anymore. It definitely isn’t irritated and painful like it was before, and I’m sooo thankful for that.
I plan on continuing to use Mia Mariu products for my skin care needs, and only use mineral make-up. My face feels fresh, and energized, and for that I’m thankful!
