I’m writing this post in the after workout euphoria of increased serotonin. It’s 7:00am and I just got home and showered after my boxing class at Title Boxing. I feel great, like I could take on the world. I love starting my days like this, and pledge that I will continue on this track and workout at least 4 days a week, if not more.
But will I?
Probably not, to be honest. At least not the way things are now.
Let me give you a little background first:
I’ve begun working out more during pregnancy with this second child, after the realization of how hard it is to work off post baby fat. I started off walking, and increased the distance daily. After having my baby and getting the doctors approval, I jumped right back into it. I was proud of myself, and ready to step up my workouts a bit.
In February, my Husband got me a Title Boxing membership (sell, the whole family actually), and a new pair of gloves. I was pretty excited because I’d always wanted to go there, but I was a little nervous. He gave me the extra push I needed, and I enjoyed it. I’ve gone off and on since then. Much less consistently than I’d like. I still enjoy walking and being active either way.
And I’ve been working more….
And it’s too early….
And a number of other excuses.…Which is why the fitness trends will fail for me. Because the fitness trends doesn’t work. Ever.
I have to get some goals down. I have to start eating healthier (the hardest part for me). Most importantly, I have to start thinking differently, and focus. It’s not about exercise at all. It’s about a life style change.
So I’m working on it. And blogging about it. It wont’ be overnight, by any means… but I’m slowly making lifestyle changes for a healthier family! It’s going to take hard work, and I may slack from time to time but, I’ll blog about it either way!
I hope you’ll follow along with my journey!
