What’s a mother to do when she wants to take her child on an amazing adventure to a land far, far, away… but it just isn’t in the budget?
Well, I don’t know about you… but for us, the answer is write down town! We loaded up the car and headed on over to the Sprint Center to catch opening night of Passport to Adventure!
You may wonder how this could possibly be considered an exotic adventure when we didn’t leave the city, state, country… heck, we didn’t even leave the greater Kansas City area!
Well, it’s simple.
Thanks to some very creative story plotting, and the help of some of our favorite Disney Characters, , my family was given a “front row seat” into the environments of each of the characters!
We hung out with Simba and his Lion King crew for awhile, and enjoyed chuckles at their hilarious antics.
We stepped into the lives of Micky and Minnie mouse, and the kids got to experience them in a unique way that they (or us for that matter) had never experienced before!
We even got the opportunity to hang out with the crew from Peter Pan. Men old Captain Hook, and Tinkerbell herself!
And these were only a few of the characters we encountered!
I think that Tinkerbell was, without a doubt, the girl’s favorite of the night.
Not only were the story lines fun and entertaining, the performances on the ice were absolutely amazing. I still have no clue how the performers manage to pull off such intricate and complicated moves on their ice skates, while still remaining in character the entire time!
If you missed out on this amazing adventure, don’t fret! I’ve heard word that Disney On Ice will be making another visit to Kansas City this summer, with another amazing show.
If you aren’t in the Kansas City Area, be sure to check out the schedule and see if Disney on Ice is coming near you!
I received something of value from Feld Entertainment as part of their Insider Program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
