This post was developed in partnership with Tom’s of Maine. All opinions are my own.
Why I switched to natural products is quite simple. If there’s any time in life that you learn what your does and does not like, it’s during pregnancy. The real kicker is that each and every one is different. I learned this lesson the hard way while carrying my second daughter. Seemingly overnight all of the products I’d been using for years begin to give me the blues. I couldn’t make it more than a few days without having a breakout. I was miserable! I knew at that point that it was time to do something different.
I made the switch to natural products.
I started this journey with two feet in. Not only did I make the decision to stop using chemicals in my hair… I made that change for other products my family and I used as well. Laundry detergent, body wash, and deodorant. I began researching ingredients and methods of making most of them myself. I quickly learned that while some of them turned out great homemade, others needed a bit of help. Deodorant was one of these.
If you’ve made the decision that natural ingredients are what’s best for you and your family, as I have, I encourage you to begin learning more about the products you use and find what works best for you. Tom’s of Maine is a great option. It’s a leading natural personal care brand that carries a very wide range of products. Tom’s of Maine makes toothpaste, mouthwash, deodorant, dental floss and even baby care products.
Tom’s of Maine Natural Deodorant
Tom’s of Maine is currently introducing a new deodorant formula with new and improved scents. This deodorant is still free of aluminum, artificial fragrances, artificial fragrances, preservatives, and petrochemicals; like it always has been. There are also no animal ingredients, and it isn’t tested on animals.
**It’s important to remember that when trying natural personal care products for the first time, you need to give your body time to adjust to a formula free of chemicals and artificial ingredients. Try the product for at least 7 days, and try different scents to see what works best for you.
My family and I aren’t the only ones making the switch to natural products. Check out Bev’s story below:
