This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #tastehydration #CollectiveBiasI was a very active kid growing up. From as far back as I can recall, I was involved in all sorts of activities. If we weren’t heading off to a some sort of pageant, group meeting, or sports event… we were going somewhere together as a family. Life was super busy, and I loved every single moment of that.
When I became a mother I vowed that I would do my best to give my children the same type of life that I’d grown up with. It wasn’t until then that I realized just how difficult it actually is! Let’s face it… adulting is hard enough. There are many days that I’d rather spend just sitting around letting my body mold a perfect spot on the couch that I can enjoy for years and years to come. I mean… that’s somewhat productive, right?
Then there’s the fact that I have THREE children to carry around, two of which are under the age of three. Why couldn’t I just have had two children spaced perfectly four years apart like my parents… right? Seems like they probably had it a bit easier with that setup.
Nevertheless, despite my excuses, I’ve managed to stick to my vow. My children are busy as ever, and we are ALWAYS on the go! One thing that I’ve learned about having an active family, however, is that preparation is key! Most days we’re running from one thing to the next, with very little time in between. I keep a family travel kit handy with a few of the essential things we need to make our days on the go run smoothly! With the right supplies, there are zero excuses not to get out and go!
What’s in my Family Travel Kit?
Snacks
I always keep a few snacks handy for when we’re on the go. Hanger is real, and the last thing I need is a grumpy family when we’re ripping and running.
Antibacterial
Always. Germs are icky and children like to touch everything then put their grubby little fingers in their mouths. Eww.
Paper Towels or Napkins
This goes hand and hand with the whole kids and their hygiene thing. They’re also highly prone to spills, I always keep napkins and paper towels handy for this reason.
Extra Phone Charger
We’re always exploring new places and using GPS. The last thing we want to be stuck with is a dead phone. While we keep a car charger in the car, I’ve often had to charge up out to eat or out and about somewhere during a long day.
vitaminwater Zero
This one’s probably the most important of all. Staying hydrated is crucial, so I always keep these on hand. I stock up on the huge 20 pack 20 oz bottles at Sam’s Club to make sure that I don’t run out of them. The fact that vitaminwater Zero is tasty AND nutrient enhanced with vitamins and electrolytes makes it the perfect way to get and stay hydrated. The fact that you can grab them for $3.50 off at Sam’s Club this month are an added bonus.
While there are other things I throw into our family travel kit, depending on the occasion… these three things are the ones that are essential and go everywhere with us. The most important of all of them is the vitaminwater Zero because being on the go causes you to work up a thirst, and these tasty drinks are super refreshing. Vitamins. Electrolytes. Zero excuses.
Make sure you head to your local Sam’s Club or grab some online here before the sale ends!
